  • Accessibility to our retreats
    Who are our retreats for? Our retreats are for all those who wish to live in a flow of movement, breathing, holistic approach and sophisticated gastronomy. Whether you are alone, as a couple or with friends, we will welcome you with open arms. No matter your age, gender or experience, you will become one of us. I have never practiced yoga, can I participate in your retreats? Obviously! Our wellness retreats are open to all. We encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and explore new things. If you're up for adventure, curious about each other and looking to enjoy life at a slower pace, join us. Do I have to like adventure to participate in your retreats? No, it is not mandatory. It should be noted, however, that you may experience a change of scenery during the activities offered. Our tourist expeditions are made in respect to the rhythm of local life. The sanitary facilities and means of transport used, for example, could take you out of your comfort zone. If you feel insecure, we invite you to let us know. We will do our best to adapt your itinerary and activities.

    Are the activities mandatory? No, you will be free of your actions at all times. Our retreats are designed to recharge our batteries. Gently, you can relax at your own pace. All activities, workshops and events are optional. During gourmet meals, we invite you to come together to celebrate the art of living. One bite, one flavor at a time, we will all share together the happiness of the epicurean lifestyle. What languages are spoken during the retreat? Our wellness retreats are mostly conducted in English. However, your hosts speak fluent French. If necessary, they will help you to make your stay as relaxing as possible. Do you offer vegetarian and vegan food options? We adjust to all types of diets. Share your preferences with us in writing and we will adapt the menu accordingly. Guests can enjoy a variety of fish and seafood dishes. Inspired by the "farm to table" movement, our gourmet menu is full of fresh and local foods. Are your retreats confidential? Yes, our ART OF LIFE retreats are exclusive and limited to a maximum of 10 people. Our sanctuary of abundance guarantees you a safe and confidential environment. We attach great importance to confidentiality. Each participant agrees to abide by our rules. If I book a double occupancy room and am alone, will I be paired with someone else? Yes, we will find you a partner to share your room with. We believe that people who dare attract other individuals who are like them. By sharing your room, you will have the opportunity to discover another authentic and unique being like you. Obviously, we consult you before pairing you with another individual. We always try to match same-sex roommates in rooms. Your comfort and safety is our priority. Do the rates include taxes? Yes, all rates are displayed in US dollars and include taxes. What if the dates or duration of your Art of Life retreats do not suit me? If the dates of our Art of Life retreats do not suit you, contact us to plan a tailor-made retreat. For a similar price, you can recharge your batteries at a private retreat. These customizable retreats are designed to suit your image. Known as the diamond of the Bocas del Toro archipelago, Cólon Island is located on the Atlantic coast of Panama. Home to some of the area's top destinations for ecological wonder and beach travel, you will find a unique landscape and a friendly atmosphere. Representing Panama's Caribbean culture, Bocas del Toro Province includes part of the Panamanian mainland as well as a chain of islands in the Caribbean Sea. The region is home to a tropical rainforest, some of the region's native crops, and a natural laboratory for studying climate change and change. While in Bocas del Toro, you can spend your days exploring the local nature and your evenings enjoying the nightlife. As 95% of Caribbean coral species are found in Bocas del Toro, you can expect to see a wide variety of tropical animals, including nurse sharks, stingrays, and many species of crabs and lobsters. In our opinion, it is one of the most incredible destinations on Earth. Is Panama safe? Panama is one of the safest countries in Central America. Being a tourist destination of choice, travelers feel confident. As elsewhere, however, caution must be exercised. In big cities, scams and thefts are common. We will accompany you every step of the way to ensure your safety and comfort. All our recommendations related to your itinerary ensure you a soothing journey. Once on Cólon Island, you will enter our wellness sanctuary. This secluded place will allow you to relax in serenity. What will be the weather like on my trip to Bocas del Toro? The island of Cólon enjoys an ideal tropical microclimate. Every day, the Caribbean sun will warm your skin and heart. Temperatures generally vary between 26° and 30° Celsius. Due to the unique location of the island, it is common for weather forecasts to be inaccurate. Don't worry, you will have the perfect conditions to enjoy your stay.
  • Travel and itinerary
    How do I get to Colon Island in Panama? Once your retreat is booked, planning your itinerary begins. Our team can accompany you in the process at no additional cost. We can search for airline tickets and send you options tailored to your traveler profile. Contact us for help with your planning. We recommend that you get your plane tickets quickly to benefit from the best rates. From 3 months before the start of the trip, travel prices tend to increase. To travel to Panama: Depending on your departure city, you have several options. For example, from Montreal, you could take a direct flight to Panama City (PTY) or a direct flight to Río Hato (RIH). From Río Hato, you can take a taxi to Panama City (about 1 hour drive). For the more adventurous, it is possible to find very affordable flights from other nearby airports such as Burlington or New York. Write to us for advice tailored to your preferences. Once arrived in Panama: As our retreats take place on an island, you will then need to take a domestic flight to Bocas del Toro Airport (BOC). Don't worry, your journey will be simple and without pitfalls. We accompany you every step of the way. Once you arrive in Panama City, you will need to take a taxi to the local Albrook Airport (PAC). You can enjoy our private taxi with our concierge service or you can order a taxi on the Uber app. We recommend purchasing your second flight from Albrook (PAC) to Bocas del Toro (BOC) at the same time as your international flight. Depending on the arrival and departure times of your two flights, we advise you to sleep one night in Panama City. You will be able to rest and discover the historical beauty of the city. The beautiful Casco Viejo neighborhood is very safe and will offer you an authentic experience. Are flights included in the package? No, flights are at your discretion. However, our team can accompany you through the process for free. We can search for airline tickets and send you options tailored to your traveler profile. Contact us for help with your planning.
  • Documentation and visa
    Do I need a valid passport? Yes. To travel to Panama, we advise you to have a passport valid for at least 6 months after the date of your planned trip. Depending on your nationality, this period may be less. Do I need travel insurance? We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance. It will protect you from any accidental incident in order to travel with confidence. Credit cards frequently include travel insurance in their offered benefits. We advise you to consult your banking organization before taking out external travel insurance. Do I need a visa for Panama? In general, foreigners can visit Panama for 90 days without a visa, depending on the country of origin. Visitors from Canada, United States and the majority of countries of the European Union do not need a tourist visa. It is your responsibility to confirm entry and exit requirements with your country. Contact us for help if you have any doubts. Do I need to get vaccinated? For prevention, we recommend that you be up to date with your universal vaccinations. As hygiene conditions are not the same in Central America, typhoid and hepatitis vaccines may be recommended. Consult your vaccination clinic for professional advice.
  • Planning your suitcase
    What types of clothing to bring? We advise you to bring light clothing that dries easily. The Panama sun is quite strong, make sure you cover up enough. We recommend that you bring: • Light long-sleeved sweater • Comfortable clothes for yoga • Clothing for the evenings • Comfortable sandals for walking • Hat or cap • Some swimsuits Do I need to bring US money? Yes, we recommend that you withdraw US money prior to travel. ATMs are not easily accessible on the island. US money can be used to buy gifts, alcoholic drinks or extra-off activities. It is also good practice to tip locals. The amount required is specific to each individual. We recommend bringing a minimum of US$200. Do I need to bring anything else? Yes, we strongly advise you to bring effective sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Sunscreen is very expensive in Panama, so it's best to buy it in your home country. As for mosquito repellent, it can come in handy in the evening as our retreats take place near the jungle. We provide body soap and shampoo. However, it is at your discretion to bring any other personal hygiene products.
  • Paiement and conditions of sale
    How much installment can I pay? You can pay for your ART OF LIFE wellness retreat in several ways: 1 payment: When booking the retreat. 2 payments: 50% of the total amount when booking and 50% remaining 6 weeks before the retreat. 3 payments: 50% of the total amount when booking, 25% 6 weeks before the retreat and 25% 4 weeks before the retreat. Please note that promotions and discounts are only applicable for payments in 1 installments only. Is it possible to get funding? Yes, we can provide financing. We offer our guests the opportunity to pay for their retreat in 6 monthly installments from the date of booking. Please note that promotions and discounts are only applicable for payments in 1 installment only. If you are interested in this option, please contact us to make a payment arrangement. Can I get a refund if I cancel my participation? Due to the exclusive nature of our retreats and the necessary planning, no refund is possible in case of cancellation by the participant. If you have to cancel our event due to a major incident, please let us know
